Raspberry Pi machine learning with TensorFlow Lite - Geeky Gadgets

#artificialintelligence

If you are interested in learning more about how you can use your Raspberry Pi and machine learning to expand your projects, you may be interested in a new tutorial published to the Hackster.io The tutorial takes approximately four hours to complete and has been classed as a big skill level build using a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B mini PC. Check out the video below for an introduction into the proof of concept tutorial. "TensorFlow Lite allows you to take the same ML models used with TensorFlow (with some tweaks) and deploy them in mobile and IoT edge computing scenarios. There are obvious downsides with minimal compute power and less accurate results. However, what you can accomplish with a tiny processor sipping tiny amounts of power is still quite staggering."

DIY robot personal assistant with machine learning - Geeky Gadgets

#artificialintelligence

A new robot project has been published to the Instructables Circuits website which is equipped with machine learning technology allowing it to see the world using a generic camera to perform tasks depending on the detected object's position and orientation. Check out the video below to learn more about the Raspberry Pi powered robot which is equipped with a 3D printed claw. "This robot is truly special because it can use Machine Learning models to'see' the world via a generic camera and perform tasks depending on how the detected object's position is changing in the camera. This robot is built around the ever popular Raspberry pi, the incredibly powerful RoboClaw motor controller, and the common Rover 5 robot platform. Furthermore, all the additional physical parts are 3D printed.

DIY Raspberry Pi face recognition system - Geeky Gadgets

#artificialintelligence

Raspberry Pi enthusiasts interested in creating their very own face recognition system using a Raspberry Pi 3 combined with the Raspberry Pi camera module and a Seeed Grove Relay, Seeed LTE Cat 1 Pi HAT (Europe) and finished with a 5 inch HDMI display complete with USB touchscreen. May be interested in the Raspberry Pi facial recognition system and smart lock with LTE Pi HAT created by the team at Seeed and published to the Hackster.io "In this project, we plan to take pictures with picamera and recognise faces in them, then display recognition result in the screen. If faces known, open the door, and send who opened the door to specified phone number via SMS. So you need to connect a camera to Raspberry Pi's camera interface, and install antenna and Grove – Relay to LTE Pi hat, then plug HAT to your Pi. Screen can be connected to Raspberry Pi via a HDMI cable, don't forget connect power to your screen and Pi."

Eyecloud Cam Wireless Home Security Camera - Geeky Gadgets

#artificialintelligence

Eyecloud is a new smart security camera equipped with artificial intelligence that allows it to recognise both humans and faces. The cordless design allows you to easily mount the security camera almost anywhere and the data encrypted feed allows you to store your footage on local storage without any monthly fee. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the Eyecloud Cam security camera which has this week launched via Kickstarter. Early bird pledges are now available from $79 or £60 with shipping expected to take place throughout the United States during November 2018. Its creators explain a little more about the design and features of the wireless security camera.

Artificial Intelligence On The Edge Platform - Geeky Gadgets

#artificialintelligence

Developers using the edge computing platform may be interested in a new piece of hardware created by UP based in the Netherlands called UP AI Edge. As the name suggests it adds artificial intelligence and hardware acceleration'ON' the Edge of the Internet of Things. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the UP hardware and its specifications. The UP AI Edge platform offers developers and users and ultra-compact form factor, combining three powerful Intel technologies together into one device providing an Intel Apollo Lake SoC, Intel Movidius Myriad 2 VPU and Intel Cyclone 10GX FPGA. "Not long ago the trend has changed from the Internet of Things to Artificial Intelligence. At UP, we didn't only stop at talking about this shift but we began to actually make it! Not forgetting the post-it sized computing platform, UP Core, we've been launching each exciting project successively. With refueled excitement, we bring you UP AI Edge. The first embedded, ultra compact, high performance, low power consumption, Artificial Intelligence platform for Edge computing."

Sunday Deals: Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence Introductory Bundle, Save 91% - Geeky Gadgets

#artificialintelligence

We have an awesome deal on the Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence Introductory Bundle in the Geeky Gadgets Deals store today, you can save 91% off the regular price. The Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence Introductory Bundle is available in our deals store for just $39, it normally retails for $480. Deep Learning is a set of powerful algorithms that are the force behind self-driving cars, image searching, voice recognition, and many, many more applications we consider decidedly "futuristic." One of the central foundations of deep learning is linear regression; using probability theory to gain deeper insight into the "line of best fit." This is the first step to building machines that, in effect, act like neurons in a neural network as they learn while they're fed more information.

Google's AlphaGo Is Retiring From Competitive Go After Beating World Number One - Geeky Gadgets

#artificialintelligence

While AlphaGo is stepping back from competitive play, it's certainly not the end of our work with the Go community, to which we owe a huge debt of gratitude for their encouragement and motivation over the past few years. We plan to publish one final academic paper later this year that will detail the extensive set of improvements we made to the algorithms' efficiency and potential to be generalised across a broader set of problems. Just like our first AlphaGo paper, we hope that other developers will pick up the baton, and use these new advances to build their own set of strong Go programs.
